Virginia Speak Up

The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) and the Virginia Society for Technology in Education (VSTE) partnered with Project Tomorrow to develop customized stakeholder surveys aimed at gathering feedback and insights on education technology initiatives in their schools and divisions. The VDOE uses the survey to measure the objectives of Virginia’s Educational Technology Plan. VSTE will use these insights to improve professional learning offerings by aligning support with educators’ needs, current challenges, and practical teaching strategies.
Virginia school divisions will be able to access their own data for continuous improvement efforts. Additionally, they are invited to participate in the VA cohort. The cohort provides opportunities to network and share strategies with others across the state. If you have questions about the VA cohort, please reach out to Morri Pace, Digital Learning Coordinator at the Virginia Department of Education at morri.pace@doe.virginia.gov.
If your Virginia division is interested in participating for 2025-26, please email our Speak Up Project Manager, Sam Schroeder or you can complete the Participant Form.
Speak Up is an annual research project conducted by Project Tomorrow, a national education nonprofit group that collects and reports on the views of K-12 students, teachers, administrators, and parents on education and technology.
