Speak Up Cybersecurity Survey for K12 Districts
Project Tomorrow, a leading education research organization, and iboss, a cybersecurity technology provider, launched the 2025 Speak Up National Cybersecurity Survey to assess how K-12 school districts are addressing cybersecurity risks and threats.
This survey is part of a four-year research initiative designed to help districts strengthen their defenses against cyberattacks on network infrastructure and data assets. Unlike other cybersecurity surveys, our focus is on ensuring that you have the best insights to make better decisions. One way we do that is by giving you back your local data, along with national comparative insights, empowering education leaders to make more informed decisions.

K-12 CIOs and CTOs are encouraged to:
1. Share their views on the current state of K-12 cybersecurity through an anonymous Tech Leader survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CyberSec25.
2. Invite their K-12 District Technology Staff and District Administrators and then to utilize our more generalized survey on the Speak Up platform: https://speakup.tomorrow.org/ Steps for getting started are below. You can preview the questions: Technology Leader and Education Leader
- All data is 100% protected and confidential
- Takes less than 15 minutes to complete
- We use only aggregated data for national reporting
- Surveys open through May 14, 2025.
Once you open the Speak Up platform https://speakup.tomorrow.org/, there are a few steps to access the survey introduction and questions:
